jodie Local Surfer Jodie Nelson Set To Take On Family Guy Shark
Local Surfer Jodie Nelson is getting set to be the first woman in history to stand up paddle board from Catalina Island to 39.8 miles all the way to Dana Point…Solo!  She’s doing it to help in the fight against Breast Cancer a disease that has affected so many including Jodie’s mom who is a breast cancer survivor and now one of her dearest friends is currently in a battle to beat the disease.

She’s raising funds for two of her favorite Breast Cancer foundations, The Keep A Breast Foundation and Boarding for Breast Cancer!

Please donate now and help support Jodie’s paddle for breast cancer.

Ok now that the business is out of the way…Jodie has got to be out of her mind.  Normally when you go to an island you fly in sip on a few Mai Tai’s until you forget what your name is…sample the local culture hit the spa if you have time and fly out.  You don’t decide…hmmm….I wonder if I can paddle all the way back to the mainland?  Your average person will decide to run a 5k or a marathon to raise money for a cause.  Why you ask?  Sane people don’t like the thought of a Great White Shark being able to have you as a snack when you’re trying to do a good deed for others.  There’s a reason people were afraid of the beaches during the summer Jaws was released.  But we applaud you Jodie!

Unfortunately, not only does Jodie have to worry about Jaws but now there’s a new predator dwelling in the deep seas to worry about…the Family Guy Shark.

Good luck Jodie hope you make it back in one piece no pun intended!  Every little bit helps…help a local surfer girl help others by giving a dollar or two here……
