brandon Brandon Flowers Misses the Crossfire of Other Bandmates

[lastfm]Brandon Flowers[/lastfm] doesn’t like to be a one person show. Earlier this week, Flowers explained that it was a “lonely process” making a “solo” album. Obviously no one told Flowers that when you make a solo album, you have to do it “alone.”

Since[lastfm]The Killers[/lastfm] haven’t released a new album since 2008, our sympathy is overshadowed by our greed to hear the music off his upcoming album, Flamingos.

If [lastfm]Brandon Flowers[/lastfm] doesn’t like to work alone does that mean [lastfm]The Killers[/lastfm] are going to put out a new album soon? Learn more after the break!

[lastfm]Ronnie Vannucci[/lastfm], [lastfm]The Killers[/lastfm] drummer, may have helped with tracks in the studio, but [lastfm]Brandon Flowers[/lastfm] still really missed his other bandmates:

It was weird.  Without the union and [lastfm]The Killers[/lastfm] and that way of doing things and friendship. I had fun making the record but that brotherhood didn’t exist. At times it was a little bit lonely.

Luckily for us, this means a new Killers album is in the works! The public hasn’t heard anything new since their 2008 album, Day & Age, but the band has set a date to get cracking in the studio.

Look on the “brightside”,[lastfm] Brandon Flowers[/lastfm]’ solo debut, Flamingos, sounds like it will be absolutely killer. It features [lastfm]Rilo Kiley[/lastfm] singer [lastfm]Jenny Lewis[/lastfm], top-tier producers like Brenden O’Brien and Stuart Price, and the new single “Crossfire” is definitely a fan pleaser.

Flamingos is scheduled for release later this year. In the meantime, rock out to  the “Mr. Brightside” vid below!
