88267919 The Black Crowes Releasing New Album, Going On Hiatus

The southern blues rockers are celebrating their 20 year anniversary with a special double disc acoustic release with supporting tour before going on an indefinite hiatus.

With all the free time on his hands, Chris Robinson can finally concentrate on growing out that beard he’s always dreamed of.

After 20 years since the release of their debut Shake Your Money Maker, the alt-blues rockers of The Black Crowes are releasing Crowology, a 2-disc acoustic reworking of their most loved hits out on August 3.

Following the new the album, the Crowes will hit the road for a summer tour “Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys” before taking an indefinite break from music.

In a heartfelt statement, frontman Chris Robinson gushed to fans,

Thank you for your time, your imaginations, your heartaches and joy. Thank you for 20 years of cosmic rock’n’roll. 20 years of keeping it weird. 20 years of chasing horizons and before the band that dares to dream out loud puts it down for a while, we are proud to give you our ‘Croweology’. This year the music is only for you as we celebrate what has been, what is now and whatever will be.”

Enjoy a classic vid from the hippie rockers before “saying goodnight to the bad guys.”
