cbsu28 U2 Teams Up With ... Jay Z?

The biggest band in the world and the biggest rapper in the world look poised to rock the land down under this fall, as [lastfm]Jay-Z[/lastfm] will the special guest the [lastfm]U2[/lastfm] 360 tour through Australia and New Zealand!

[lastfm]Jay-Z[/lastfm] will be the supporting act for [lastfm]U2[/lastfm] later this year as the band makes its way to Australia in support of its album No Line On The Horizon, though the newer setlists have been seeing tracks from the band’s next album, Songs of Ascent, as well. Having a hip-hop opening act is not a foreign concept for [lastfm]U2[/lastfm], either; [lastfm]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] opened for [lastfm]U2[/lastfm] last fall, including performing at the Rose Bowl.

It won’t be the first time these two titans of music will grace the same stage; [lastfm]Jay-Z[/lastfm] joined [lastfm]Bono[/lastfm] and company in Germany in 2009:

As long as [lastfm]Bono[/lastfm] doesn’t rap again … this could be brilliant. What do you think? Are there enough [lastfm]U2[/lastfm] fans that like hip-hop, too? Or are these two tastes that taste terrible together?
