skid row 81 JACK’s 5th Show: Skid Row Stands Up For Hard Rock

There were bands before [lastfm]Skid Row[/lastfm] and there were bands after Skid Row, but if you were there in the audience at JACK’s 5th Show there was only one band that blew up the crowd with their edgy, American hard rock sound and that was Skid Row.

Skid Row’s lead singer Johnny Solinger hit the ground running announcing that he only had 40 minutes to rock the crowd and there wasn’t any time to waste.  The band immediately rolled into “18 and Life” which totally got the crowd going.

Everyone was out of their seats and rockin’ along with Solinger and bandmates: [lastfm]Dave “The Snake” Sabo[/lastfm] (guitar), [lastfm]Scotti Hill[/lastfm] (guitar), [lastfm]Rachel Bolan[/lastfm] (bass) and [lastfm]Rob Hammersmith[/lastfm] (drums).

Solinger was an amazing frontman and mouth piece dedicating songs to the victims of 9-11 while rallying the crowd by telling them that they’re the sort of good American people he’s used to dealing with.

As they played fans became more enthusiastic, dancing and running to grab more beers without missing anything.  I may have been on of these beer drinking, Skid Row loving people.
