This weekend marks the anniversary of the most influential music festival since Jack’s Wacky Rascals Outdoor Variety Hour.

7. CCR – Fortunate Son

Woodstock Fun Fact: Tami Heide cancelled her band’s first set after setting their tour manager on fire.

8. Jimi Hendrix – Hey Joe

Woodstock Fun Fact : Date(s) scheduled: August 15-17, 1969, but ran over to August 18.

9. The Who – Baba O’Riley

Woodstock Fun Fact : The festival’s wifi network was password protected, but many festival-goes signed on after Country Joe McDonald announced the password publicly during his set.
