Let’s all admit that October is the greatest time of the year. What other month do we get to indulge in candy, costumes, and craft beer? Or scare people for fun? Or dress like a sexy nurse five years in a row?

We busted out the shovels from our grave-digging days and unearthed our favorite Haunted Houses around the SoCal area. We even found a few extra tickets to give away – they were lying around at the bottom of DJ MacBoingBoing’s coffin. Man, we hated that guy.

  • Mickey’s Halloween Party  Disneyland
    September 17th – October 31st

  • Queen Mary – Shipwreck
    October 4th – October 31st

    Since 1995. A Halloween celebration for the entire family, in which the Queen Mary is transformed into a haven of goblins, ghosts, and spooks. Features Londontown of Terror and the Haunted Hull of Horrors. Held Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the month, as well as Halloween night.
  • Knott’s Halloween Haunt
    October 4th – October 31st
    Knott’s Halloween Haunt is a seasonal Halloween event at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. It is a an event in which the theme park is transformed into “160 acres of horror”, via a series of over 1,000 monsters, several mazes and a collection of ‘scare zones. It is the largest Halloween event to be held at a theme park.

  • Fight Fest Six Flags Magic Mountain
    October 8th – October 31st

    October 8th – October 31st

  • West Hollywood Halloween Carnival
    October 31st

    The “West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval” in West Hollywood, CA began in 1987; three years after the City of West Hollywood officially became a City within the County of Los Angeles. The free event celebrates its 23nd anniversary in 2010 and expects record-crowds of visitors and locals alike, approximating ½ million people.
