On November 8th, 2011 1990’s rap legend [lastfm link_type=””]Heavy D[/lastfm] passed away after being rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, CA. He was 44 years old. His cause of death was not immediately known.

Best known for “Now That We Found Love,” Heavy D (born Dwight Arrington Myers) moved to America from Jamaica to pursue his dream of becoming an actor, rapper, record producer, and leader of Heavy D & the Boyz.

Both fans and friends are in shock over his death. Many fellow rappers remember him for his words:

“Nobody Owes You Anything.”
