Looks like someone wanted their nachos extra spicy.

At least that’s what border control agents discovered after stopping a man who tried to smuggle meth from Mexico to California. The suspect, a Mexican citizen who claimed he had just done his grocery shopping across the border, was quickly discovered after the methamphetamine was discovered inside cans of nacho cheese sauce and jalapeño peppers.

As a resident of Oxnard, CA, driving to Mexico to do a little grocery shopping aroused a bit of suspicion. The groceries appeared abnormal to the guards, as the cans of cheese and peppers were much heavier than they should have been.

That’s because there was seven pounds of illegal drugs hidden under a thin layer of that delicious, plasticy, yellow goodness.

The suspect was soon turned over to the Immigration Control and Enforcement agents.

Too bad. That fiesta sounded fun.
