Buddy Greene knows the harmonica has a bad reputation.

Still, that petulant misconception doesn’t stop the Georgia-born virtuoso from pushing the mouth harp to higher grounds. In fact, Buddy’s mesmerizing and charismatic harmonica performances have taken him from all the way from his hometown pickin’ party to the world’s most prestiguous venue, Carnegie Hall.

According to his website,, “His live concerts are equal parts hymn sing, jam session, church house revival, and journey through his own musical history.

Buddy’s songwriting has gained him recognition as well, especially as the co-writer of the Christmas favorite, “Mary, Did You Know?”, recorded by many of today’s top recording artists, including Clay Aiken, Kathy Mattea, Kenny Rogers & Wynonna, Natalie Cole, Glen Campbell, and Kathleen Battle, to name a few.”

Not bad for a guy who plays the harmonica for a living. Guess you could say the dude’s playing what he wants… all the way to Carnegie Hall.
