According to an intrepid team of Australian heshers researchers, Great White Sharks get their rocks off by listening to a white hot Australian rock band–AC/DC.

Southern Australian boat operator, Matt Waller, was inspired to play music for the 3,000 teeth bloodthirsty predators after a chat with a diver. While diving in Guadelope, this diver met other divers who were experimenting with changing shark behavior through sound.

AC/DC was a particular favorite for the notoriously aggressive Great White Shark, specifically “You Shook Me All Night Long.”

“I started going through my albums and AC/DC was something that really hit the mark,” said Waller. “Their behavior was more investigative, more inquisitive and a lot less aggressive. They actually came past on a couple of occasions when we had the speaker in the water and rubbed their face along the speaker which was really bizarre.”

Sharks don’t have ears, so they are lulled into calm by the frequencies and vibrations of the metal pioneers. Just as they have favorites, Waller speculates that there might be music that makes the sharks more volatile.

“I have this thought that if there is something that attracts them there is obviously going to be something that they reject – maybe it would be Justin Bieber. Who knows.”

Biebs might send any species into a killing frenzy, so just in case, we’ve included five AC/DC tunes (along with clips of sharks) to soothe the savage beast.

“Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap?” Sharks don’t just do them cheap. They do them for free.

If you were caught in the mouth of a shark, you’d definitely be lucky if you lasted all night: “You Shook Me All Night Long.”

Better confess your sins before jumping into a tank full of sharks, otherwise you might be hearing “Hells Bells.”

So, you like a little adventure? Just stay away from the jaws of a Great White shark otherwise all your relatives might be “Back In Black.”

Ever see the trail of blood shark leaves after it bites into its prey? Looks a little like the “Highway To Hell.”
