The Space Shuttle Endeavor will make its final voyage this Thursday as it winds through the streets of Los Angeles on its way to its final resting place at the California Science Center.

Leaving out of LAX around 11:30p on Thursday night (10/11), the Endeavor will embark on its 12 mile, 2 mph trek ending at Exposition Park. City officials have stated that sidewalk viewing of the Endeavor in neighborhoods along the route will be limited due to safety measures but fret not science dorks, two different viewing parties are planned.

One will take place at 8am Friday morning at the Forum. The Inglewood Police Department said it is expecting between 10,000 and 14,000 people to attend so if you REALLY wanna be present, get there early. The Endeavor will leave the Forum and will make one more public viewing pit-stop around 2pm at the corner of Crenshaw and MLK Blvd. Officials say that the intersection will only accommodate 1,000 to 1,500 spectators so……

The Endeavor display at the CSC will open on Oct.30th but only temporarily while a more permanent display is created…..

That being said, AVOID THE HELL OUT OF THE SHUTTLE ROUTE ON FRIDAY IF YOU HAVE NO DESIRE TO BE ALL SCIENCEY cause if you thought your afternoon commute sucked before? Think about how bad it will be when a 155,000 pound, 78 foot wingspan SPACE SHUTTLE is taking up not just the HOV lane, but the ENTIRE FREAKIN ROAD.

I made it easy on YOU PEOPLE and have embedded the entire Endeavor route below…….
