Based on the title, it sounds like this 23-year-old is a bargain hunter just like his boy Jack FM.

Andre Barbosa, 23, conveniently moved himself into a $2.5 million mansion in the elite town of Boca Raton, Fl. How did he do this one might ask one’s self? Likely out of curiosity, and more likely out of a desire to try and pull off such a clever scheme. According to Orlando Sentinel, Barbosa used a Florida real estate law to stake his claim on the waterfront property. When investigated, it was found that the home had been empty for about 18 months prior to his arrival.

While Bank Of America is the technical owner of the decked-out pad, Barbosa self-titled himself as the “living beneficiary to the Divine estate being superior of commerce and usury.” He had posted this very declaration outside of the home, for all who questioned him.

Barbosa, a Brazilian national was never witnessed breaking into the 5-bedroom mansion, to his advantage. Or not. Real estate lawyer Gary Singer labeled Barbosa’s actions “adverse possession.” This allows one to occupy a property and claim the title if they can remain vacant in the home for seven years. Who would mind living in a huge mansion for seven years?

Directly after Bank of America foreclosed the crib, Barbosa notified the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office that he would be its new resident. Upon being confronted by police, Barbosa presented his “adverse possession” forms. The adverse possession trick he attempted is only valid when done so in an “open and notorious manner.”

We have a Richie Rich meets Eloise on our hands. Possibly a pool party can be arranged in the near future but until then, keep dreaming.
