Coachella Weekend 2 came to a close in Indio Sunday night. Yea, yea, yea…The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wu-Tang Clan, the Lumineers and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds were all awesome but this gigantic, robotic roaming snail stole the show….

Above is one of the 494 turnovers the Lakers committed in a Game 1 loss of their playoff series vs the Spurs on Sunday. Game 2 is set for this Wednesday on TNT at 6:30p. Hopefully the Spurs will mercifully end this Lakers season ASAP.
Meanwhile, hyper-photogenic Chris Paul survived this apparent mini-stroke and the Clippers bested the Memphis Grizzlies 112-91 on Saturday. Game 2 is on for tonight at Staples, 7:30p on TNT.

Reese Witherspoon pulled the always endearing, “Do You Know Who I Am?”  line with police in Atlanta on Friday morning while her husband was being arrested on suspicion of DUI. As a former security guard at the House of Blues on Sunset I am no stranger to that line which is why I don’t feel bad about posting Reece’s mugshots HERE

Speaking of awful people who I’d love to see fall down a flight of stairs, Jamie McCourt pulled the impossible on Friday and made me hate her more than I already did by returning to LA Superior Court to request that the judge THROW OUT HER $131 MILLION DOLLAR DIVORCE SETTLEMENT with former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. Why would she throw away a $131 million dollar settlement? Oh no biggie, she just wants $771 MILLION MORE DOLLARS because she vastly under valued the Dodgers franchise worth. Anybody else think it’s time to bring back tar and feathering? Silky Johnson explains exactly how I feel about Jamie (and Frank) McCourt in the following clip…

An estimated 100,000+ people turned out for the CicLAVia bicycle ride down a closed off Venice Blvd and 7th street. I would post some of the AWESOME pictures here but we’re not allowed to post any pictures on the JACK FM site unless they come from Getty Images, which sucks out of measure because they didn’t have ONE SINGLE SOLITARY PICTURE of CicLAVia so instead, here’s a link to the CicLAVia Tumblr account…

PICS from CicLAVia

The next CicLAVia ride will be on Wilshire Blvd in June.

Tom Cruise’s flick Oblivion led the box office reporting $38.1 million dollars in ticket sells, Cruise’s best opening weekend in 7 years. Here is the trailer for Oblivion if some how you’ve missed it the 89 thousand times it’s run on TV over the past month.

Movies opening in theaters this Friday include Pain & Gain with the Rock and Marky Mark Wahlberg along with Mud starring Matthew McConaughey and some awful Katherine Heigl POS that I won’t even name here.

Aaaand lastly, HBO’s Game of Thrones might’ve turned in the single best episode of television of the year on Sunday. If you haven’t been watching Game of Thrones I quite simply don’t know what you are doing with your life. Here is the teaser for this past Sunday’s episode. Game of Thrones airs on HBO Sunday nights at 9pm.
