Everyone always sort of knew that David Lee Roth would end up in a stable place as a quote-unquote adult. He never held his music to him preciously; he always had a good sense of humor about everything.

The Van Halen frontman has been living in Tokyo, Japan for a long time now (he goes back and forth from his house there to his two houses in the States) and has fully immersed himself into the Japanese culture, even showing himself doing martial arts on his Youtube channel, The Roth Show.

While the show consists mostly of Roth talking about certain aspects of life and his personality, the quirky frontman recently release a Japanese language movie trailer of him as a Quentin Taratino-esque action hero.

The plot goes a little something like this:

Roth walks into a shabby Japanese business, putting money on a counter in silence. Men are sitting at a table in the corner gambling. He takes out a briefcase and lays down some money, The men taunt him, throwing some “finger-lickin'” chicken at him. Roth glares at them in silence and slowly takes off his shirt. The woman closes the door and Roth slowly holds a gun to one of the head of one of the players, drinking some his strawberry milk. Everyone dies and Roth is shown walking away with a Yakuza tattoo on his back.

We’re not sure if the trailer is eventually going to become a longer film, but Roth always had the makings of an amazing actor and we always wondered why he didn’t try his hand at it. It seems he’s still got it.
