It’s been almost 50 years since Spinal Tap took us to 11 and even though they are getting up their to Rolling Stones level, the parody metal band is “ready for a reinsertion.”  It’s been almost 30 years since the release of their cult hit classic This Is Spinal Tap and iconic director and actor Christoper Guest said in an interview with that Spinal Tap is constantly being asked to play shows and they are “in the midst of talking about something for next year.”

There’s no word on what might be happening, but we’d pay good money for a musical or even another feature film. Or maybe just a mini-tour because after Tap pretending to be rock stars, they became them says Guest: “…we’ve gone on tour, playing Wembley, the Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall… It’s weird but great. The fiction became real.”

What would you like to see Spinal Tap come back as? Are you humming the tune to “Lick My Love Pump” right now?
