It’s been awhile since The Clash “rocked the Casbah” but reports are saying that the three surviving members of the Clash are looking to reunite after frontman Joe Strummer died at the age of 50 due to a congenital heart defect.

Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, and Topper Headon will reunite briefly for a BBC Radio 6 interview to promote a best-of album, The Clash Hits Back, a 12-disc box set with all of The Clash’s studio albums, some rarities, and more called Sound System, and a box set with The Clash’s first five studio albums. Hello Christmas presents!  They will be interviewed by Ceryl Matthews.

“I am thrilled to be talking with Mick, Paul and Topper at length on 6 Music and will be asking them about their early years, their inspirations and where life has taken them since,” said Matthews about the upcoming September 6th interview that will be broadcast at another time. “Their music gave a generation a voice not just in music, but in the choice of how they lived their everyday lives and it still sounds as great, as fresh and loaded with good intent as music can ever be.”

No word on whether they are reuniting for good.
