For years, Prince was totally anti-internet. He refused to let anyone listen to his songs in unapproved formats (like Youtube) and publicly spoke out against internet usage. But, all of a sudden, Prince has taken over the internet after he purportedly “selfied” himself last week after taking a picture of a salad.

Not only is Prince using the internet to its full advantages, he is mocking it with brilliant self-awareness. Allegedly. While his Twitter account with his backing band 3rdEyeGirl is verified, there’s some speculation whether it’s actually Prince tweeting this stuff.

Especially after yesterday, when Prince released the cover to his upcoming single, “Breakfast Can Wait,” along with a teaser trailer of the sexy R&B-flavored song that trumps just about anything that modern iterations like Robin Thicke are writing. The trailer (and cover) featured a Photoshopped pic of Dave Chappelle during a comedy skit on The Chappelle Show.
