Y’all can just kiss off because according to KISS, they were never planning on reuniting for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Ever.

Frontman Paul Stanley attests that Ace Frehley and Peter Criss were never going to get the chance to perform with him and Gene Simmons. Despite Simmons saying “Sure, Why not?”to a reunion when it was proposed by Rolling Stone last year.

“But they were equally important in the formation of the band. When you have kids with your first wife, you give kudos. The fact you got remarried doesn’t delete or minimize the important. Hey, ‘You have gave birth to this thing, Kiss, with Ace, Peter, Paul and Gene,’” continued Simmons. “There’s never been bad blood. I love them as people. I just hate drugs and alcohol. I don’t care if you are Mötley [Crüe] or Springsteen. If you don’t have the balls to get on the stage straight, it’s an insult to the fans and the band members.”

But Stanley recently told the LA Times that playing with the two ex-KISS members would be like reuniting with a former spouse. “Imagine getting on stage and playing with a line-up that does not exist.”

He also won’t let the current line-up with  Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer do it either.

“The naysayers talk about Tommy or Eric being impostors,” Stanley says. “I think an impostor is a guy up there doing it for a pay cheque.”

Frehley and Criss, however, are down to try and work everything out.
