Motley Crue have teased their tour retirement plans for the last year or so, but the band hasn’t mentioned anything about stopping their flow of balls-to-the-wall rock songs.

However, guitarist Mick Mars said in an interview that the Crue’s time is up–even in the studio. The band is apparently working on their final song with producer James Michael; it just needs guitar and vocals.

Mars says the song is called “All Bad Things Must Come To An End,” which is appropriate but also not remotely true, because Motley Crue is one of the best things that ever happened to music.

“It’s probably about half finished. We have to wait for Vince Neil to sing it, and then I’ll do my soloing and ear-candy all over it and stuff like that,” said Mars.

Even if this will be Mars’ last chance to cover a Crue song with his sonic ear-candy, the guitarist has plans for a solo album that he calls “heavier” than Crue’s classic hits.

Which will be liberally featured throughout Crue’s farewell tour.

“If you went to see Aerosmith for the last time and they skipped ‘Dream On,’ you’d be f**king pissed,” said Mars. “It will be a celebration.”
