As unbelievable as it may seem, there are some people who haven’t burned out on Psy‘s inescapable 2012 single “Gangnam Style,” and the views that it got over this past weekend (on May 31) pushed the video over the 2 billion views mark, making it the first music video to hit that mark.

Having such a huge breakthrough single can be a double edged sword, particularly when it comes to the follow up. During an interview last year with New York radio station 92.3 AM, PSY explained why he shouldn’t be considered a one-hit wonder.

“After ‘Gangnam Style,’ I hesitated to answer the question ‘What’s next?'” he explained. “Literally, right after that short period of hesitation they started calling me one-hit wonder all over the world. I was like, ‘What do you mean, one-hit wonder?’ I’ve already been in this industry in my country [South Korea] for 12 years.”

Psy will team with Snoop Dogg. Find out when and where on
