Vegan Oktoberfest To Debut In Santa Monica

By Adam Bookbinder

Leave it to Santa Monica to throw the world’s first vegan Oktoberfest celebration, complete with not only vegan food, but also with vegan beer.

The October 4th celebration will be just like any other Oktoberfest, complete with beautiful beer maiden hostesses, stein holding contests, and plenty of German and non-German music.

Performing the German music will be Stewedsheidzel, who will get your lederhosen moving to chicken dances, yodeling contests and much more.

L.A. cover band Knight Ryder will be handling the non-German music side of entertainment, featuring the music of Journey, Michael Jackson, Weezer and others.

Some of the vegan Bavarian food to be offered will be the traditional pretzels, sausages, potato pancakes, chicken and many more completely vegan Oktoberfest favorites.

And yes, the beer will also be vegan.  Local breweries such as Golden Road Brewing, Karl Strauss, Angel City Brewery and Hangar 24 will all be on-site pouring plenty steins of beer.

Vegan Oktoberfest is being held at probably one of the best locations in the country, complete with an incredible view of the ocean, at 2600 Barnard Way, Santa Monica, 90405,

General admission tickets are $45 which not only gets you in, it also gets you a beer stein and unlimited beer from 1-6pn.  For the VIP experience, you’ll pay $65 which gets you early admission, a beer stein, unlimited beer and access to a VIP area with food samples and beer maiden hostesses.  If you care not to drink, then you only pay $20 to get in, but don’t try sneaking any beer.
