L.A. Listed As One Of The Worst Cities For Renters

By Nadia Noir

Los Angeles is a beautiful place to live. It’s too bad it’s so damn expensive to live here. According to Rent.com (via LA Weekly), Los Angeles is one of the worst rental markets in the United States. Considering hole-in-the-wall studios are going for, oh, $1300 dollars days in desirable locations, we’d have to agree.

LA Weekly says that the per capita income is about $27,900 while the rent for a two-bedroom is about $1,400.

Umm, we don’t know where they’re looking but even that sounds about a grand lower than what we’ve seen while cruising Craigslist.

Here’s the Top 10 Worst Cities To Rent In:

1. San Francisco, CA

2. Ventura, CA

3. New York, NY

4. San Jose, CA

5. Los Angeles, CA

6. Denver, CO

7. Honolulu, HI

8. Boston, MA

9. Seattle, WA

10. Portland, OR

Four out of the top 5 are in California.
