Like Paying Double The National Average In Rent? Live In Los Angeles.

By Nadia Noir

Planning on moving out from your parent’s basement soon? You might want to rethink that housing strategy because Los Angeles is currently batting double the United States average when it comes to rent.

Apartment List (via LA Weekly) are here with yet another statistical analysis of just how awful the housing situation is in Los Angeles right now. Good think we always have the Bustache as a back-up abode.

If you’re looking for a two-bedroom apartment, it’s probably double the national average—$1,890 compared to $950 most other places. New York is worse, and so is Silicon Valley capital, San Jose. San Diego is pretty vicious at a nice, paycheck bite-y $1,700.

Los Angeles: where the weather is awesome, the people are gorgeous, and there’s tons to do. But where you probably live with a roommate.
