Deftones, Incubus Announce Co-Headlining Summer Tour

By Kevin Rutherford

Deftones and Incubus have toured together before—think 2000, when the former brought out the budding latter band on a multi-date jaunt, along with Taproot.

A decade and a half later, they’re at it again.

Both bands today (April 16) announced a joint tour kicking off this summer and spanning 18 shows across the U.S. beginning July 22 in Clarkson, Mich.

The tour is set to conclude Aug. 30 with a set in San Diego, by then having hit multiple states from the East Coast to the West.

The Bots and Death from Above 1979 will support the tour for most shows, the exception being July 23’s show in Tinley Park, Ill., which Death from Above will not attend.

Incubus are touring to support a pair of new EPs, the first being Trust Fall (Side A) out on May 12. Meanwhile, Deftones are at work on their eighth album, the followup to 2012’s Koi No Yokan.
