Here Is the Most Righteous Take on the New Orleans Saints-Los Angeles Rams Blown Call Fiasco

January 23, 2019

(CBS Sports Radio) A missed fourth-quarter pass interference call on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship on Sunday likely cost the New Orleans Saints a Super Bowl berth.

Jim Fassel’s response: So?

“First of all, get over it,” the former New York Giants head coach said Wednesday on "Taz & The Moose."

“Quit crying. Seriously. You got a bad call. In 2002, we were playing the 49ers in the playoffs, and it was worse.”

In January 2003, Rich Seubert was incorrectly flagged for ineligible receiver downfield, likely costing the Giants a playoff win. The San Francisco 49ers won, 39-38, to advance to the divisional round.

“The NFL called me and apologized, but what the hell am I going to do at that point?” asked Fassel, whose son, John, is the Rams' special teams coach. “Am I going to sit around and cry about it or something like that? No. They made a huge, huge, huge mistake. Get over it.”
